Eco report online

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

For those of you with cable TV, Sky news has been running an Eco Report segment for a while now. For those of you that don’t have cable or missed some of the segments, Sky features some of these programs online. There is an interesting one about green cleaning.

Thongs, weeds and curry

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

Spring is definitely in the air and to celebrate I have thrown open my windows, put on my thongs and got down on my knees to erm weed. Yep, weed. My garden is full of them and I have spent the last few days viscously stamping them out, re-mulching and sowing veges.

Electric systems in hot water

Labor also says it plans to keep the $1000 Federal Government rebate to help household costs when switching from electric to solar and heat-pump hot water systems.

On the website we can get a feel for what they mean and find out how we can contribute to the plan over the next 6 months.

Slim postings

Wednesday, August 8th, 2007

Sorry for the lack of posts. I have been travelling a bit lately due to family commitments and not had much time to post. I am off again so may not be posting for a week or so.

In the meantime enjoy Treehugger’s article about solar cooking. Some of the ideas are pretty clever - maybe some of you have already hooked up similar projects?
