Article in the Australian

Saturday, February 23rd, 2008

If you are reading the Australian newspaper today, page 22 features an article with me and my son. It’s part of a larger article focused mostly on people downsizing their lives in some way.

You can check it out online too. The photo isn’t included in the online version but I can say it involved throwing a lot of my pumpkins around, and trying to encourage my son not to look at the camera ;-).

I’m back

Thursday, November 29th, 2007

Apologies for the recent silence but I have been really busy trying to hand in a final assignment for my Masters degree. And, yes, I have finally finished. Yay! After three years, my degree is finally done and dusted. Well, I have still have to graduate but the hard work is over.

Over the past few weeks I have been feeling guilty over my neglect of Greenfoot but a friend recently sent me an article from the Sunday Age reviewing this site.

The article “The laptop greenie” appeared in the paper on 18/11/2007 and covered the things people can do online to be environmentalists. It reviewed a number of sites, including Greenfoot, of which it said: “One of the best Australian eco blogs is Greenfoot, produced by Sydney greenie Trina Tune. While she updates us on her own organic gardening efforts in the mortgage belt, she also links to local events and information sites, and it’s very easy to navigate.”

I have got to say this made my day, and put my guilty feelings at ease a little. Anyway, I aim to be back on board again with more regular posts, and it has reminded me to post some other interviews I did earlier this year.
